Websites, brands, and marketing
Websites, logos, social media, and print I've designed and built for clients and small businesses.
Button & Bug is a website I built and set up on Shopify. It uses Shopify 2.0 sections for responsive design on mobile and desktop, and handcrafted SEO copy makes the homepage shine by showing the product's unique value to the customer.
Product pages use metafields and custom Liquid for a custom look with dynamic elements. I set up the legal, tax, and payment configuration top to bottom in a two-hour meeting, then trained the owner on running their store in a two-hour session.
Little Colorado started as an e-commerce website client and became much more with time: I grew to manage the entire technical and administrative side of the business.
The website evolved as I worked on it, with Shopify 2.0 responsive design, metafields, and mega menus.
Sodura was a client that Little Colorado eventually acquired. They wanted a very simple, easy-to-use WordPress website with new branding and a focus on simplicity.
I designed the logo to be extremely friendly to printing on wood, in black and white, and in color.
An example of the click-through SEO carousels I built for Instagram content and promotional use.
WoodToyBox became another of Little Colorado's acquisitions. They wanted a playful but muted logo that's easy to read in a number of applications, with or without the graphic, so I settled on a fun text shape with a cute teddy bear graphic.
The website features fun typography and simple design focused on drawing attention to the toy boxes and chests they offer, with custom brand SEO copy to really sell the product.
Once Little Colorado was trademarked and brand-registered with Amazon, I built their Amazon fulfillment business from the ground up, including a brand storefront page that helps customers find them on Amazon and lends the small business legitimacy in the global market.
Logo for the e-commerce brand Little & Brave. They wanted a throwback design to “The Little Red Balloon.”
access.mobile wanted to brand and promote their values with a colorful poster that included some great imagery.
Crema was a client I met through SVGMC while I worked for them. I ended up creating a number of assets for them, including the print ads they still run today!
I managed the content creation, copywriting, photography assets, and community of Little Colorado's social media for more than two years across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and Twitter.
The content shown is my work from 2020 to 2022.
An ad for access.mobile, used on the internet and in print for AmHealth Kenya.
New Idea wanted a logo that looked simple and modern without being flat, could easily translate to black and white, and had a little more going on in a subtle way. We eventually landed on this striking blue hue and double-line motif.
access.mobile needed a new letterhead design, and I came up with this mix of minimalism and readability that still held onto some color.
Logo for the e-commerce brand Memory Chests. They wanted something that could easily be printed into wood.
I sent monthly newsletters to Little Colorado customers, marketing customer journeys, promoting sales, and highlighting new products.
I designed the press page distributed in 2019, which showcases access.mobile's various appearances in the press and media. It was designed for use as a distributable Word document.
River needed business cards that people wouldn't want to throw away. We agreed an eye-catching design would convince many people to hang onto his card.
He was able to build a successful client base, and I still see his cards being held onto today!
The owner of Homeroom Yoga wanted a new look that would be striking on a black background, since their studio was a modern design in black. She also wanted her Hawaiian heritage to show through on her business cards.
I got her the natural, rough-sketch look she wanted in her logo, and she still uses the design in her studios today, though they did move away from the black!
Dr. Pineda wanted something fresh and artistic for her business cards.

Earlier work
Posters, print pieces, logos, and resumes from my earlier design work, including event campaigns for Microsoft.
One of the logos I'm most proud of creating while at Microsoft. My team was assigned to experimental social and single-use apps called “Snacky Apps” for a time. I collaborated with the design team on this logo, which ended up being used for the official app!
Kuna wanted a resume that would stand out in a number of ways to a number of different professions. He carried this branding and logo into his social media and his self-marketing.
The logo features playful dots that lead the eye to Kuna's name and cap off the copy. The color draws the reader in without distracting from the content, and it switches easily to black and white.
A Zumba instructor I knew was going to be teaching Zumba for Microsoft, and she needed a way to promote the class. I offered to create a poster for her and distribute it, and I was able to join the class!
I got to be involved in a lot of promotional materials for Microsoft, and although Microsoft's corporate design concept is ultra-minimal, I really enjoyed this design. Always happy to be an ally and show support for good causes like equality!
Kathleen is a professional with a very diverse history across a number of roles. She wanted a resume that looked fresh to younger eyes and told the reader right away that she was technically savvy, while still remaining traditionally presentable to recruiters.
I sold her on this professional, readable formatting with an accompanying black-and-white-friendly version. With this resume, she began a career as an apprentice real estate agent, and she still does that today!
This is the resume that got Microsoft to give me a chance! I was given a lot of extra design work and learned from a lot of very smart people during my time at the company.

A poster I designed for the Oriana Chorale Pop Concert.
Rocky Mountain Arts Association held a competition for logo design, and I won! They used this logo I created for a few years before redesigning to a text-only logo.
A poster I did as an ally for the Southern Colorado AIDS Project Red Ribbon Ball many years ago. Roseanne told me she liked the poster a lot.
A poster I designed for use on the SVGMC website, which I integrated for them directly, and for printing.
A concert program I designed for SVGMC.
